Ride Time Policy
It is the goal of Wayne County Advanced Life Support to provide any and all EMS students an equal opportunity for ride time. To that end, the following policy is in place:
Ride time will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis
Ride Time is to be scheduled by calling the site the student wants to ride to schedule. Time is not scheduled until you confirm it has been placed on our schedule.
No more than four shifts may be scheduled at any given time, at any given site. Time may be scheduled on the current or following day that will NOT count towards the four shift maximum
No call no shows affect all students adversely by taking away valuable time from others. Any no call, no shows will be reported to the FLREMSC, and may result in the inability to ride with us in the future. This policy also applies to excessive tardiness.
We must remember that, to our patients, the student represents this agency. Attire should be professional, and their ID's must be clearly visible.
